Group 4 had the honour of kicking off the first day of IC11 (along with Group 1 on the main oval) at Blacktown International Sportspark Sydney oval two (BISS2). Warm weather (which didn't last all day) greeted the players which would've been to Timor-Leste's (East Timor's) liking, but the heat was soon on them in their debut as Great Britain quickly showed them the ropes.

In the first match of AFL IC11 Game Day 7 the two winless teams looked to open their International Cup winning account. The Western Oval in Royal Park, Parkville, Melbourne was not looking the best surface after extensive drainage works were done here some weeks ago. But the weather was fine and warming up to burn off the dew and both sides were keen.

It was the playoff for the wooden spoon – or more likely to avoid the wooden spoon. The game was a good one that matched two teams that clearly were of similar abilities. Today’s game between Fiji and Timor Leste was a Division 2 mismatch. The highly favoured Fiji were very close to making Division 1 last weekend, and showed their abilities tonight against the undermanned Timor Leste team winning by a massive 135 points at BISS Oval 2.
Although there was some moisture around from recent heavy rains conditions were much more favourable than the last round and allowed Fiji to shine. The Tribe set the scene with a goal in the first min...

One of a number of debutants at this year's IC will be the Timor-Leste Crocs, representing one of Australia's closest neighbours and Asia's youngest independent nation.
The Crocs were founded only three years ago, but have since formed the AFL Timor-Leste and become a regular appearance in the Asian tournament circuit, as well as maintaining a domes...

Timor-Leste (East Timor) Crocs - IC11 ranking
Ranking: 15
IC08 Placing: Did not compete
Australian football first came to Timor-Leste in 2007 when several friends who liked to kick the ball around jokingly put together the East Dili Eels.
